Before we discuss Tim, I wanted to comment on my two sweet, beautiful children. I want to profess to the world that I could never have imagined the insane love I have for these two. They are my heart, soul and world, even if they drive me a little crazy.
Hughie is now 15 months old and is everywhere and into everything. He loves anything that has to do with sports. We could have 100 toys in the yard and he will always go for the basketball, baseball bat or golf club. He likes trucks, but if there is any sporting equipment in the vicinity, that's what he wants. He is also eating with a fork (for real, he stabs stuff and gets it cleanly to his mouth). I guess the love of sports and hand/eye coordination is in the blood? He's also signing for more (he LOVES to eat) and gives me kisses. He has a few words in his vocabulary including Mommy, Daddy, Ja-ja (Georgia), baby, ball and boobie. "Boobie" is actually his best word. Not sure if I should be reading into that. He's babbling a ton more now that his ears are clear. He's been a bit of a crab lately, but he's got four molars coming in right now so he's entitled. Motrin is our friend.
This weekend we're going to a wedding, but Mimi and Papa are taking the kids to the beach and we're meeting them there after the wedding. Georgia is practically beside herself with excitement about the beach. It's all she talks about. Every time she sees a plane she asks if it's going to the beach in New Jersey? We're also enjoying our season pass to Dutch Wonderland (thanks Mimi!!). We went to the water park for the first time on Monday and the kids LOVED it. It's totally geared towards little kids and they have a section for toddlers that is perfect for Georgia and Hugh with tiny slides and water fountains. It's so much easier than chasing Hughie around a pool worrying that he's going to fall in the whole time. Georgia is still a very shy and sensitive girl, but a lot of people have commented to me lately that she seems to be coming out of her shell a bit more. However, she still doesn't deal well with separating from me. She goes to daycare three days a week, adores her teachers and loves her classmates, but she still struggles when I drop her off. This morning one of the girls in Georgia's class commented (a little snottily), "Georgia ALWAYS cries when her Mommy drops her off," and then rolled her eyes. I was a little shocked and one of Georgia's teachers gave the girl the hairy eyeball and said, "Georgia is just quiet." And so it begins.
Ok, now on to Tim McGraw. We didn't really need any more reasons to love him, but apparently he was onstage this weekend and noticed a portly man harassing a woman in the front row. He literally grabbed the guy and got security to drag the guy onstage and out of the concert. LOVE HIM. And I'm still loving Faith for calling out the hooker who grabbed her man's package during a concert. Rock on.

Sephora is the DEVIL
And I love it. I hit the new store for the first time to night and it was like a little piece of heaven on a stick. My new BFF Judy (Sephora Color Expert) and I had lots of fun trying new things. I schmoozed the crap out of everyone and got all sorts of awesome samples. And I LOVE SAMPLES. I am trying a the new Stila Cherry Crush lip stain, I'll let you know how it goes. As for the rest of my purchases - just the same old amazing Laura Mercier products. I'm not sure that I'll ever stray from my SPF 20 tinted moisturizer and primer. I just wish that I wasn't allergic to pretty much every mascara under the sun because I would love to become a mascara whore. But alas, that will never be. Don't feel sorry for me, my mascara allergies keep me grounded. How much would I absolutely adore a part-time job at Sephora?

Somehow, I Survived
Keeping up with my duties as the Road Warrior is starting to take it's toll! I had the busiest weekend EVER and somehow, I survived. Friday I went to Dutch Wonderland with Beth, her mom and her sweet boys - Joe and Gabe (aka Mini Rob). Georgia and Gabe had a blast, but Joe was a bit weary of the rides. We had a lot of fun so I think we're going to get season passes for the rest of this year. It's relatively cheap and includes access to the park, the water lagoon (i.e water park) and their festivities in the fall and at Christmas.
Friday night was the Annual Mexican Party/ Movie Night across the street. We had a blast hanging with friends. We didn't go home until 11:30. Hughie was quite the party animal - still going strong HOURS after the other babies were long gone. Georgia insisted on wearing her ballet costume to the party (it's hot pink, orange and yellow, so I thought, why not?). Accordingly, Riley wore hers and they were tearing it up in flashes of flourescent pink and orange. The food was great, even if I did fall off the Atkins wagon for a brownie. Thanks Beck! However, I'm now fully recovered and back in the swing.
Saturday was a blur of parties. We started at Barrett's house, then went and delivered Kathleen's College Survival Pack (congrats!!) and then headed to Maya's 7th birhday party. That girl is growing up so fast, it's unbelievable. Chris finally made an appearance, so we left the kids with Mimi and headed off to the Blues Traveller concert - which was amazing. We even went out after the concert for a few drinks and saw a bar brawl. Man I love York.
Sunday I decided NOT to host a Father's Day bbq at my house (we still have no air conditioning) and let my mom handle it. We went to the Barnstormer/Revolution game and then back to my mom's house for food and friends. Happy Father's Day everyone!!
Monday I attempted to recover, but when you have a one year old who DOES NOT STOP MOVING EVER and a four year old who DOES NOT STOP WHINING EVER, recovery is a tall order. Luckily I had Mimi to help me! I think I'm going to take it easy this weekend and stay home.

Hughie Loves Men
Yesterday's surgeries went very well and both patients are happy as clams today! Hughie didn't even need the medicine that makes you act REALLY drunk to go back to surgery. Why, you ask? Because he loved the anethesiologist and hopped right into his arms. We're still debating whether Hughie's love of men is because he's a Boys Boy or the complete opposite. Time will tell, I guess. ;) In the mean time, he is the cutest boy ON THE PLANET. He's into everything, everywhere, all the time, with a smile. He's so sweet and affectionate. I really need to videotape his reaction when he sees me or Chris for the first time in a while. There's a high pitched screech, huge grin and lots of giggles, followed by his adorable old man with stiff hips run towards his target. I just can't get enough.
Georgia did really well with the surgery but for showering a nurse. Apparently when Georgia received her Tylenol suppository, her body thought it would be a good time to pee. Luckily, the nurse was a good sport. The real down side was that Georgia's panties were soaked (and subsequently removed) and when she woke up she screamed I NEED FRESH PANTIES NOW for about 30 minutes straight. Note to self, for future surgeries, always pack an extra pair of fresh panties.

It's been a while
Sorry I've been slacking with the updates for a while, but this past week seems like a whirlwind. First, we saw the ENT last week and both of my babies are scheduled for tube surgery tomorrow, prayers are appreciated! I just hope this means that we will be ear-infection(read, MISERABLY SICK CHILDREN)free for a while.
Georgia had her second visit to the dentist, but her first real teeth cleaning. She was very nervous, but this time we took her to a pediatric dentist and she just sat back and watched Shrek while her teeth were cleaned. The whole staff was really awesome about making Georgia comfortable. Georgia was an angel and they told us that her teeth were surprisingly clean and healthy. Thank you Oral B for your Ariel spin brush!! Even Georgia's thumbsucking hasn't made a major impact on the structure of her teeth or palett.
We spent the weekend at Mimi's because we have no AC. When we had our new system put in this winter, we decided to wait to install the new AC unti until we could do some lanscaping in the area where we wanted to put the unit. We did not expect a 7 day heat wave in the first week of June! Fortunately Mimi's air conditioning was working. We spent a lot of the weekend in the pool at the country club. Georgia literally spent about 8 solid hours in the pool, emerging briefly to scarf down a grilled cheese or chicken fingers. Hughie liked the pool a good bit too, but not like Georgia. I still don't think Hughie is up to par with his ears. I can't wait for them to get all of that junk cleared out tomorrow!!
So that's the update for now. I have some pics to post when I have a chance to get them off the computer.

Ear infections 23 & 24
We're heading in for double ear tube surgeries next Wednesday. I took the kids to the ENT yesterday and he said their ears are an absolute mess. The antibiotics don't seem to be working well either, so we've got two really miserable kids and a very exhausted mom. I will be so thankful one day when my kids have their immunities built up and I'm not paying a hundred bucks a month in pediatric office visit co-pays. Ugh.

Bike Parade 2008
Today was a gorgeous, almost perfect (but for that two minute sprinkle), spring day. We spent the entire day outside planting flowers and playing in the sprinkler. Hughie's still pretty miserable and I'm pretty sure the Omnicef is not working for him, but we see the specialist tomorrow so I'm hoping we can get surgery scheduled asap (for ear tubes)!! Georgia's best friend Riley came over and we participated in Brook Farms Second Annual Neighborhood Bike Parade. It was a blast thanks to the amazing Sarah and her party planning skills. I'm thoroughly exhausted so I need to go to bed, but here are some pics from today.
